Long range autonomous drone

The goal with this project was to build a autonomous drone with an extremely long battery life (up to 1 hour). Besides that I also wanted to make everything from scratch except for the frame which I bought from Hobbyking.

This included making my own battery-pack with a higher energy density cells than often used in drones. Custom flight computer, transmitter and all the software and protocols for communication.

This project started somewhere in 2018 and I worked on it for about 2 years till I got distracted by repairing an electric minivan.

Though this drone never flew autonomously I did get it to fly albeit not very long as it crashed shortly after the first test, (skill issue:)
